Best results with apomorphine injections

The best effects are found in relatively young and active patients with normal cognitive functions and “wearing off”-type fluctuations.

 

Best results with apomorphine infusion, levodopa/carbidopa infusion and DBS

The best response is found in young patients with normal cognitive functions but troublesome motor fluctuations.  Furthermore, DBS often has an excellent effect on tremor.
